Sale Readiness Assessment

Our Sale Readiness Assessment requires clients to complete certain questionnaires and to provide ExitMinded with access to selected, important company documents, reports, files and information.

ExitMinded streamlines this process via a client-friendly cloud-based portal to minimize the amount of time required and the disruption to your organization. All client files and documents are safely, securely and confidentially maintained on ExitMinded's portal, and are promptly deleted after project completion.

After our Assessment is finalized, ExitMinded will schedule a comprehensive 60-90 minutes virtual meeting to review and discuss our findings and recommendations with the business owner(s).

Sale Readiness Plan Design & Implementation

So you have a valuable, comprehensive report highlighting the most critical sale impediments within your business that need to addressed before you can think about a sale or transaction? Now what? Some ExitMinded clients may lack the necessary team members, expertise or resources to design & implement a sale readiness plan on their own. For these clients, ExitMinded offers assistance in designing, staffing and managing the critical projects within the plan and ensuring that the necessary changes are successfully implemented as expeditiously as possible.

Creating Your Sale Readiness Plan
ExitMinded develops an actionable, prioritized sale readiness plan based on the client-specific conclusions and recommendations in the Assessment Report. This plan identifies concrete actions and changes to be implemented along with any necessary outside resources required and a timeline for each specific project within the Plan.

ExitMinded helps assemble the most-qualified and cost-effective team of professionals to execute the implementation work for each and every plan project. Every team we build is unique, tailored to the specific needs and budgetary constraints of the client. ExitMinded solicits multiple competing proposals from a network of carefully-curated professionals and service providers-ranging from law firms and attorneys to finance & accounting firms to HR services providers to information systems & technology consultants -skilled at implementing change. Ultimately, the client chooses the specific members of the team, and enters into a services agreement directly with each network provider. ExitMinded ensures that the agreement deliverables and scope of services accurately reflect and align with the needs and objectives as laid out in the Plan.

ExitMinded oversees and manages all of the implementation work and providers on the Company’s behalf, leaving you free to focus on your day-to-day responsibilities. ExitMinded leads periodic, regularly-scheduled status meetings with all of the team members, identifying and resolving questions or problems as they arise, and tracking each and every team member’s progress along their specific timeline. In other words, ExitMinded serves as the “quarterback” of your implementation team, calling plays, assessing the defence, and ensuring that you’re moving the first down markers.

ExitMinded Peer Advisory Groups

Some ExitMinded clients – whether they are managing this implementation work on their own or with the assistance of ExitMinded, may also benefit from meeting regularly with similarly-situated business owners who are seeking to implement many of the same critical changes within their own businesses.

These Peer Advisory Groups offer clients a small but supportive and constructive forum in which to learn from subject matter experts, problem-solve and solicit ideas and feedback from other business owners on specific challenges or obstacles. ExitMinded very intentionally keeps these Peer Advisory Groups small – usually no more than 8-10 business owners per group – and works to match up clients who have similar businesses or business models (i.e., manufacturing, professional services, retail, industrial services, healthcare, etc.).

ExitMinded Principals lead and moderate these discussions, which are designed to progress through and further educate business owners on sale risks and obstacles within each key functional business area. Peer Advisory Group meetings will also have regular guest speakers from among ExitMinded’s network partners who will share their implementation expertise and answer specific questions that group members may have.
